Professor Ahmed Samir Hosny is a Professor of Vascular Surgery at Cairo University Medical School and a Consultant Vascular Surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular and endovascular conditions.He holds an M.B.B.Ch. from Cairo University, an M.Sc. in Surgical Science, an M.D. (PhD) in General Surgery, and MRCS (Ed.) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has also completed advanced international training and fellowships in minimally invasive surgery, peripheral endovascular intervention, and aortic surgery in Italy and Germany.Professor Ahmed has extensive clinical experience in vascular surgery, including the management of peripheral arterial disease, aortoiliac disease, arterial aneurysms, acute limb ischemia, diabetic foot conditions, vascular access for hemodialysis, and venous diseases. His endovascular experience includes angioplasty and stenting, thrombolytic therapy, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), and IVC filter procedures.He also has particular experience in the management of varicose veins, venous ulcers, and complex vascular conditions, with a focus on selecting the appropriate treatment approach for each patient.In addition to his clinical practice, Professor Ahmed has extensive experience in medical education and postgraduate training at Cairo University, where he has taught medical students and postgraduate doctors in general and vascular surgery.His approach to patient care is based on careful clinical assessment, clear communication, and selecting evidence-based treatment options according to each patient's condition and individual needs.
