Professor Dr. Maha Maher is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, serving as Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Horus University. She is also the Founder of the IBD Centre of Excellence at Mansoura University. ​Dr. Maher is a prominent leader in the Egyptian medical community, currently holding the presidencies of both the Egyptian Society of Crohn's and Colitis (ESCCO) and the Egyptian Society of Academic Gastroenterology & Endoscopy (ESAGE). With extensive clinical expertise, she manages an active specialized private practice in Mansoura while driving advancements in clinical research, medical education, and advanced therapeutic approaches for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). ​An advocate for bridging international standards with regional clinical practice, Dr. Maher regularly contributes to academic symposia, collaborative workshops, and medical education frameworks
